I was overjoyed when I was commissioned to make masks for Hardware: The Store at

Mass MoCA inspired by the art currently in the galleries.

The show is phenomenal!

And though I began this mask inspired by the amazing art on view , it quickly deviated from the style I had been going for.

It is not the semi-realistic pheasant type bird, but more of a friendly Jim Henson monster type.

When it came time to drop it off for the shop, the wonderful Ms. Seven Blakeman (of the truly magical Elf Parlor in North Adams) came down to take some pictures.
