Braidface

Like Blanketface, Braidface is quite mysterious. Hiding behind a swooping braid, timid and inquisitive. Just try starting a conversation, I’m curious what Braidface has to say.

Whitey Furskull

I don’t really know what just happened, but it kinda freaks me out. Here it is: Whitey Furskull…

At Work In The Studio

Its a busy season over at huck and stuff. Here is a peek into the studio

And I even got pictures on the radio! I know, amazing.

Thank yous to Jess Bidgood for the photo set.

Vacationland

Snuck away from the Beautiful Berkshires over the weekend to Vacationland, also known as Hermit Island, ME.

Wouldn’t ya know, I ran into a monster on the beach. This one’s cute, I think I’ll bring him back to Daniel at the Dream Away Lodge. Rumors have it, monsters will be in residence in the prestigious Loo Gallery for the month of October.

Knuffle Bunny

Some children have toys more beloved than the rest. That is the case with Hannah Barth and her Knuffle Bunny, and hopefully, this mask will be more beloved than the rest. Hannah’s parents requested a mask to replicate her  Knuffle Bunny doll, and here it is:

Aces Ten, All The Way!

Hopped a train to New York, and had a blast in the city!

Here are some highlights from the weekend:

*Hung out with Miranda July’s Sculptures in Union Square

*Rode my bicycle into  a texting pedestrian who did not look both ways

*Played BINGO at La Pousion Rouge

*Got some awesome tacos

*Was invited to FurFright

*And nabbed a spot in TWorld Magazine

*Hung out in Washington Square Park

*Went to an amazing yarn store

*And won a round at Keith and the Girl BINGO

*And returned home to learn that PBird was sold today at Mass MoCA!

I give the weekend Aces Ten, All The Way!

Tiger

As the summer wound down, I felt it was time to try my hands at a mask of my choosing. The orders waited while I focused on refining the mask making process with this tiger. And here you can see a bit of the process, and the end result….
Say hello to Tiger

Thank you so much to Najwa Drury for her excellent modeling skills and to Jay Elling for his camera action.

White Stag Pup

Here is the third piece created for Mass MoCA.

Imagine yourself in an old growth forrest, an old growth forrest made entirely of paper, an old growth forrest made of paper and recently uprooted… that is where this creature was born.

New to this world: A young pup, waiting for you to find ‘em.

Big thanks to Dot Com for taking all the pictures.

Amorphius Black

Here is the second mask completed for Mass MoCA: Amorphius Black. It is inspired by the rich textures and complex layers currently found in the galleries.

Thank you so much Seven Blakeman for taking all the pictures!
