If you guessed Unicorn, you were right. This mask is a commission for Daniel Osman of the truly magical (and home to free range unicorns) Dream Away Lodge. Here is one challenge I was eager to meet.

After putting in over 20 hours of crocheting, I packed up my yarn and headed to New York to celebrate my dear friend Kiki’s birthday. Kiki had the right idea being born during Pride week.

It was a beautiful surprise to arrive in the Village to GaY DaYs!!! with the magial unicorn mask tied onto my bicycle. I spent a few hot summer days in New York riding my bike and building Uni. The entire weekend was a dream.

Top on my agenda was hanging out in the parks in New York to work more on the unicorn mask. I made it to Union Square park to experience Miranda July’s sculpture project: Eleven Heavy Things. After a while a boy came over and showed me the comic he drew of me and the unicorn.

Yep, Awesome.

Uni was well received in New York, and got a lot of lovin from so many.
